🎬 Movie Synopsis – Botanical Shadows
Genre: Thriller / Horror Written by: Cranstan Cumberbatch Rosita Rolling's is a brilliant yet tormented botanist whose love for plants is matched only by the depth of her emotional scars. In the heart of the city, she cultivates more than just greenery — she nurtures revenge. After surviving an abusive relationship, Rosita finds solace in nature, but her pain morphs into a deadly obsession. Through her mastery of botanical poisons, she becomes a silent executioner, targeting those she deems toxic to love and life. When a chance encounter with charismatic landscaper Hezekiah Bowman sparks a flicker of hope, Rosita lets her guard down. But jealousy ignites once more when she suspects betrayal. A tragic mistake unfolds, leaving Rosita in a spiral of guilt and facing the deadly consequences of her wrath — just as law enforcement begins to close in. In this haunting psychological thriller, Botanical Shadows explores the fine line between justice and madness, love and obsession — all wrapped in the beauty and peril of nature. Speaking Roles: Rosita Rolling's (Late 30s, Female)A highly intelligent, introverted botanist with a magnetic but mysterious aura. Rosita is articulate, emotionally complex, and deeply passionate about plant life. Beneath her calm surface lies trauma, repressed rage, and a desire for justice born from past abuse. Her knowledge of poisonous flora becomes her tool for vigilante justice. She’s both villain and victim — a dark anti-heroine whose descent is chilling yet tragically human.
Hezekiah Bowman (Early 40s, Male)A warm, charming landscaper with a natural charisma and appreciation for nature. He’s talented, kind, and drawn to Rosita’s intellect and mystery. He’s unaware of her dark past and dangerous tendencies — and becomes an unintentional trigger for her relapse into obsession.
Jennifer “Syniah” Bowman (Mid–Late 30s, Female)Hezekiah’s cousin, friendly and warm-hearted. She’s supportive of Hezekiah’s work and comes across as affectionate, which tragically fuels Rosita’s misguided assumptions. Her death becomes a pivotal moment of guilt and realization for Rosita.
Detective Myrick (40s–50s, Male or Female)A seasoned, observant investigator slowly piecing together the puzzle of recent mysterious deaths. Calm but sharp, Myrick becomes the looming threat to Rosita’s unraveling secret — symbolic of justice closing in.
Little Girl / “Lilly Rose” (7–10 years old)A seemingly innocent flower seller with a peculiar charm and eerie poise. Possibly a pawn used by Rosita, or a projection of Rosita’s younger self — her presence adds a chilling layer to Rosita’s methods and mental state.
